Scan Book ISBNs Into a List on iPhone
A box of donated books arrives, and you need their ISBN numbers for your records. The numbers are printed on the covers, but typing thirteen digits for every book will take a while.

1. Scan the ISBN barcode
Tap Scan and point your camera at the book’s ISBN barcode, usually printed on the back cover. The scanned number is added to your list.
Scan one book at a time for free. PRO keeps the camera open so you can scan books one after another.
Choose the publisher’s ISBN barcode when you need ISBN numbers; a library’s own barcode label may contain a different identifier.
2. Review your ISBN list
Check the collected numbers, edit an entry, or delete an unwanted scan. Your list stays saved on your device between uses.
With PRO, duplicate filtering skips numbers already in your list. Leave it off if you need to record repeated ISBNs from multiple copies of the same edition.
3. Copy and paste ISBN numbers
Need an iPhone ISBN scanner to copy and paste numbers into another app? Copy your collected list to the clipboard, then paste it into Notes, a spreadsheet, or a book tool that accepts ISBN lists.
Scan book ISBN numbers to a an email
Collect the ISBNs you need, then use the save option to export your list as a plain-text file to Files. You can also email the list using Apple Mail.
